Week 5 - Building Your Own Brand


Personal branding is the conscious effort to shape a person's public identity, including their image, their story, and their place in a particular community. Branding is thoughtful, but not necessarily inauthentic. In fact, personal brands are most successful when they are viewed as an authentic expression of themselves. In an age where people's attention spans are getting shorter and shorter, it's more important than ever to leave a lasting impression. The best way to do this is to create a solid and memorable brand image. Unfortunately, most business owners don’t realize the importance of personal branding because they think it’s a lot of extra work. However, the fact is that if you want to create a successful business, you must create a successful brand. People who know you and your business will trust you more and buy more of your products and services.

Simply put, a business is nothing without the backing of a personal brand. However, that doesn't mean you have to give up your business for your brand. Instead, it’s better to have a clear and purposeful strategy for both. A personal brand can only be successful if it is supported by a strong business strategy. When you integrate your business and personal brands, you have a powerful brand portfolio that can help you achieve your goals faster and easier.
